More layers than I knew what to do with. This is the Landis family. Ben & Shendra invited us to their family Thanksgiving dinner. They wanted to get a group photo (all 32 of them) but it never seemed as if all of them were in one space at one time. I brought my camera and suggested something silly. And this is what I came up with. All 32 in one shot (sort of). Still probably less challenging creating this shot after the fact than trying to get them all in one room, looking at the camera and smiling. Posted by Picasa

Yet another attempt at playing with layers. This was taken in our backyard. The original was pretty bleached out, but I was able to come up with this. Nothing amazing, but I am having frun with my camera and programs. Posted by Picasa

Another attempt into the arena of layers. My friend David DuChemin gave me my first tutorial on layers during a visit last week. Unfortunately, the one lesson I really wanted to remember I could not. Fortunately for me, he posted a tutorial on that exact thing on his picture blog the other day. So here is my first foray into vignetting. Probably not the perfect picture for this technique, but it's early Sunday morning before church and I just wanted to play. Posted by Picasa

My first foray into layers. Oh, if I could only remember everything a friend of mine showed me the other day when it comes to layers and the effects possible. This would be my first experience with it all - and I am sure not the last. Oh yeah - we had Rowans 1st birthday party yesterday. More pics to come. Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday Rowan!!! Pictures courtesy of daddys birthday gift - a 50mm lens. And if you look real close you can see daddy in the picture twice. Posted by Picasa

So here we are at Rowans first birthday. And of course she is running a fever of 101 and has a sore throat and cough. She is only slightly miserable. Posted by Picasa
